• 35 Weeks

  I went in for a routine OB appointment today.  I received confirmation that my delivery is set for June 3rd at 10:00am.  So if all goes well, baby boy #2 will be here by lunchtime that day!  I just have to decide whether we should still take Ollie to school that morning (on the way to the hospital), and then Harold can pick him up later that afternoon and bring him to the hospital to meet his little brother.  I am not sure how he'll react if we sneak out of the house early in the morning and then he wakes up to Harold's parents rather than one of us being there.

  But the best news I heard today is that I don't have to have a single cervical check (which I have dubbed Satan's checks).  Since I have a scheduled c-sec, unless I think I'm dilated, there is no reason for me to get my cervix checked.  At all.  I almost hugged my OB right then and there.  I told him that is, by far, the worst part of all my prenatal appointments and the labor put together.

  OH - And did anyone watch Ugly Betty last night?  I couldn't stop rolling my eyes and making pffftttt sounds watching the totally overdramatized water breaking scene, followed by the cliche scenes of the ranting, raving woman in labor.
